Hi, We are Sherry and Donna from 'irresistible ideas for play based learning and we learned of you through Greg Harvey, who commented on a topic on our Facebook page about the lack of males in early childhood education. We think "Males in Early Childhood" is a great idea ... here's hoping you can use your blog to attract more men into the industry ... heaven knows children need you!
When you get some content up please let us know. Perhaps we can help to get the word out!
    Donna :) :)

  6. Hi, I'm Jenny dropping in from Let the Children Play to welcome you to the world of blogging. I look forward to reading your posts :)

  7. Hi! My husband is an Early Childhood Professional (as am I). I actually used to be the director of a centre where the men outnumbered the women. It was a completely unique environment because of the differences the men brought to the centre.

Welsome to the blogging world! I can't wait to read more!

  8. Jenny & Jennifer posting straight after each other - how confusing.

Jenny - thanks & I hope you find them worthwhile.

Jennifer - men outnumbering women? Has that ever happened before or since I wonder. Each setting is unique in its own special way, but I'm sure your centre was also full of hijinx if they were anything like me. Did you find any significant differences in the way the children engaged with the staff & each other, or how the staff interacted? I'd be keen to know.
